Capt. Chris Wells
Capt. Chris Wells is the owner of Mile High Angler and Tailing Charters. He is a native of Colorado where he began his journey of fly-fishing at the age of 4. Chris cut his teeth guiding for trout while attending The Metropolitan State College of Denver where he earned a BA in Communications and a minor in Management. Since then, he has been putting his education to use by communicating with the fishes. Chris has been guiding for the past 10 years full-time and truly enjoys helping others learn how to fish. From the Caribbean to the wilderness, trout to tarpon, Chris covers it all.
Capt. Chris Wells is a licensed and certified U.S. Coast Guard Captain. He guides in the Lower Florida Keys from February through June and in Colorado from July through December. Chris spends the remaining time hosting anglers to international fly-fishing destinations and speaking at seminars. He has been a keynote speaker for groups including The International Sportsmen's Exposition, Trout Unlimited, The Federation of Fly Fishers, and Colorado Women Fly-Fishers.
No matter what your desire, spending the day on the water with Chris is sure to be a memorable experience. Chris' passion is to teach others how to fish. Whether it's nymphing for trout or throwing 70 ft. of line to a tarpon, Chris takes pride in offering anglers the experience and trip of a lifetime. Capt. Shane Smith
Capt. Shane Smith is a full-time guide that divides his time between the rivers and oceans. Origionally Shane is from Louisville, KY and grew up in the horse business. Since then, he has moved to Colorado and began guiding full-time. Shane now splits his year between Colorado and the Florida Keys.
If you don't already know Shane and are lucky enough to meet him, you will learn that he loves life more than itself. Shane is one of the happiest people you'll ever meet. He has a way with words and will have you falling out of your seat and rolling with laughter. Shane enjoys spending time with everyone. He loves to fish and it truly shows.

Luke Bever
Luke Bever, aka "The Beve" has been fishing since he was a youngster. He grew up in Florida with a lake in his back yard, and quickly became addicted to fooling fish with a hook and line. Shortly after moving to Colorado in the early 90's, Luke was introduced to fly-fishing for trout and quickly fell in love with the sport. A quick learner, Luke became proficient with a fly rod and began guiding 8 years ago. He has honed his skills and gained much of his knowledge living and guiding in Middle Park, Colorado. Luke has mastered most of the rivers in Colorado focusing mainly on the trout streams within a couple of hours drive from his home in Denver. If there is water with trout in it, Luke has probably fished it. Known for his ability to instruct, Luke truly enjoys teaching beginners as well as showing the seasoned angler a few new tricks.

Kevin Gregory
Kevin Gregory has been guiding anglers for over 20 years. Along with guiding, he currently manages and oversees two miles of the South Platte River on North Fork Ranch in Shawnee, Colorado. Kevin enjoys sharing days on the water with anglers of all abilities. His charisma and passion for the sport makes him one of the most entertaining guides to fish with. Not only will he have your rod bent all day, he will have you laughing like never before. Kevin is one of the best guides to fish with and he brings decades of experience to all of the customers he fishes with.
One of Kevin's many hobbies aside from fishing is hunting. He is the head instructor for trap, skeet, and sporting clays at Quail Run. Quail Run is a sporting clays and hunting preserve in Kiowa, Colorado. Kevin is certified through the National Sporting Clays Association and has been with Quail Run for six years.

Kelly Damrell
Kelly Damrell was born and raised in Colorado. He grew up with a passion for the outdoors and quickly fell in love with fly-fishing. Kelly has spent countless days on the South Platte River and has mastered just about every fish in the drainage. He is the head bartender at Piccolo restaurant and if you don't find him there serving those delicious drinks, he is probably waist deep in a river somewhere in the mountains.
Kelly prides himself on helping others catch fish. He feels rewarded when someone lands the trout of their lifetime. He has a knack for nymphing and loves to teach his roll-casting techniques.
Kelly is always finding new water to fish, and is usually seen disappearing into the woods with a pack on his back. He loves to hike and and enjoys spending nights camping out at the top of a mountain near pristine lakes.

Capt. Matt Thomas
Capt. Matt has been fishing ever since he was a little guy and in fact, that's all he does. Matt is the definition of living and breathing fishing. He guides in Colorado during the summer and fall, mainly floating the Roaring Fork and Colorado River. He guides in the Florida Keys during the spring and early summer.
Matt prides himself in helping others catch fish. He is very soft spoken and provides a great experience on the water. He enjoys spending time on the water with anglers of all types regardless of ability.
Capt. Matt spends his free time fishing...that's no surprise to us...and when he's not fishing, he is usually tying his crafty little flies or goose hunting. If you are looking for years of experience and great entertainment, then Capt. Matt Thomas is a sure bet.

Alan Reyes
Alan is a native of Colorado and has been guiding for over a dozen years. He has guided on many of Colorado's best trout rivers including the South Platte, The Colorado River, The Williams Fork River, and The Arkansas. Alan is an accomplished spey caster and enjoys fishing with two handed rods. His love for teaching and fly fishing drives him to share is passion with others. Alan has calm and collective personality that makes sharing a day with him a joy. He has traveled and fished all over including Alaska, British Columbia, Florida and Mexico.

Kay DuShane
Kay DuShane has been fly fishing the waters of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain west for many years. Her good fortune allows her to fish twelve months a year in Colorado. In addition to fishing her home waters including Cheesman Canyon and other stretches of the South Platte River, Kay ventures on a yearly road trip to the northern Rockies of Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and British Columbia.
Kay also spends a significant amount of time chasing saltwater species. Her favorite haunts include the Bahamas and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Whether hunting bonefish, tarpon, snook, jacks or rooster fish, her enthusiasm for saltwater fish is as contagious as it is when fishing for trout. Kay loves the salt and has recently started hosting trips to the Bahamas.
Kay began guiding professionally in 2001, and enjoys helping others experience the joy of catching fish with flies.
