Guided Winter Fly-Fishing Classes
Our winter fly-fishing classes are the best way to get on private water with out paying "peak season" rates. We offer guided winter classes from November 1st through March 31st. Our rates are greatly reduced for these classes and it's a great way to brush up on your skills.
Winter fly-fishing is one of the best parts about living in Colorado. Many of our rivers stay open, unfrozen and fishable. Colorado's weather in the winter can be very mild. It is not uncommon for the temperature to range from 50 to 70 degrees in the middle of January. Mile High Angler offers guided trips and classes all winter long. We fish North Fork Ranch just 50 minutes from Denver.
Winter fly-fishing classes are designed to teach anglers how to fish during the winter months. With the class being held at North Fork Ranch, anglers will find themselves in a winter fishing nirvana. We have a heated lodge at our disposal for changing, eating lunch, rigging, relaxing, or as a break from the elements. There is always hot coffee and hot chocolate, and if the anglers are on their best behavior, we might even get some fresh baked cookies hot off the plate. If it is arranged ahead of time and available, the ranch can cater lunch, providing everyone with a warm meal and plenty of Karen's famous home made soups.
There is no better place to enjoy a winter day of fishing than at North Fork Ranch. Please call us to schedule your date(s). We are booking groups of up to 5 for the 2009/2010 season.
